St Magnus the Martyr Church, City of London, watercolour greeting card
St Magnus-the-Martyr Church watercolour style greeting card
A very fine church rebuilt in 1671-1687, it was Wren’s landmark greeting the people crossing the Old London Bridge into the City. It has a relatively ornate exterior with circular windows and a magnificent interior with wood panelled walls and a 1712 organ. The steeple is considered one of Wren’s finest. Original Wren design survives, with major restoration after being damaged in WWII.
