St Paul’s Cathedral is Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece. Built over 35 years in the English Baroque style, it is one of the most famous and most recognisable sights of London, with its impressive dome, framed by the spires of the other Wren churches, dominating the skyline for 300 years.
At 111m high and 158m long, the cathedral is the largest in London and second largest in the country. It miraculously survived the bombing of WWII with little damage and consequently became an inspirational symbol for the nation.
