St Lawrence Jewry, City of London mounted print
Rebuilt by Wren in 1671-1677, St Lawrence Jewry is now the Church of the City of London Corporation. It has a beautiful square tower topped with pinnacles, belfry and a simple lead spire with weathervane. The spacious interior has a richly decorated ceiling and a wooden altar screen contrasting with the light white walls. Severely damaged in WWII but rebuilt to Wren’s original design.
